SKIN CARE QUESTIONS

It depends on the treatment. For example, neurotoxins are completed every 3-4 months and fillers range between 6-12 months. This will vary on your treatment plan and overall aesthetic goals. If it is your first injectable appointment, we would like to see you for a follow up in 2 weeks to ensure results have settled correctly.

The experience varies for each person. Generally, injectables are widely tolerated with minimal discomfort. For patients with lower pain tolerance, options like lidocaine are available to help manage discomfort effectively.
-
We advise scheduling injectable services at least 2 weeks before any significant events. This timeframe allows ample opportunity for healing and for any swelling to subside. Typically, it takes about 2 weeks for injectables to fully settle and for bruising to diminish. For dermal fillers, facial swelling may occur for 2-3 days, but it is usually mild, allowing patients to resume their normal activities. Bruising typically resolves within 7-10 days.
-
We often mention that whenever a needle is involved on the face, there is a possibility of bruising. Predicting whether bruising will occur is difficult because everyone's response varies, influenced by factors such as vitamin levels, hydration, tobacco/alcohol consumption, NSAID usage, medications, and exercise. To minimize the chance of bruising, we recommend reviewing the pre-care instructions provided.
-
